In cold blood2/26/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The "True" first printings do not have the BCE impression on the back boards - this copy is therefore the "true" first printing! A few minor chips to the dustjacket and a few "spottings" on the topstain (otherwise a uniform dark blue) together with a neatly written previous owner name at the top of the half-title page are the only flaws. Subsequent book club printings were identified as such on the front flap. Most importantly - early book club printings utilized the original book as published but added a small round impression on the back cover. All first edition "points" present, viz., "First Printing" statement, $5.95 price, 1/66 date and "Publishers of the American College Dictionary" and "The Modern Library." Sharp corners all around and dark blue topstain present. "In Cold Blood" is a true account of a multiple murder and its consequences. This represents the culmination of Truman Capote's long-standing desire to make a contribution toward the establishment of a serious new literary form: the Non-fiction Novel. A very attractive copy of "In Cold Blood" - the author's ninth published book. ![]()
